Jets consider signing Owens
The New York Jets, of all teams, are considering the possibility of signing wide receiver Terrell Owens.
The Jets have made a number of big offseason splashes, especially when it comes to bringing in veterans or troubled players.
It’s hard to see exactly where Owens would fit on a team that already has wideouts Jerricho Cotchery, Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes.
Holmes has been suspended and will miss the first four games of the season, so Owens could fill in for him.
With that said, it’s hard to imagine Owens has slipped so far in his own mind that he would sign with a team under those circumstances.
