Edwards arrested for DWI

New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested by police after it was determined he was driving while intoxicated.

Edwards was initially pulled over in the early morning hours because the windows on his vehicle were tinted too darkly.

The officer on the scene quickly smelled alcohol on Edwards and gave him a breathalyzer test, which ended up twice the legal limit.

Two other Jets players were said to be with Edwards at the time, which can’t make the organization very happy. ( Read More…)

Jets fall to Ravens, 10-9

The New York Jets opened up their new stadium with a whimper in a 10-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

He did not get the contract length he was desiring, which means he will have to play at a high level over the next several years to earn another big payday.

That’s very good news for the Jets, who were concerned throughout training camp that the holdout could last through the entire season. ( Read More…)

Pace out 4-6 weeks

New York Jets linebacker Calvin Pace will miss the next four-to-six weeks because of a broken right foot.

The Jets won’t give a timetable for his return, but he has been ruled out for the season opener against the Ravens.

Pace served a four-game suspension last year, and the Jets managed to go 3-1 during his absence.

Head coach Rex Ryan has since reached out to linebacker Adalius Thomas in hopes of bringing him on board. ( Read More…)
